Is Connect by InHouse Core safe? How we protect your documents and your data

Our Founder, Paige Tremblay, worked in U.S. business immigration for more than 15 years, and is the daughter of an immigrant, so we know first-hand how personal these documents are. Your approval notices, your EAD, your family's passports, birth and marriage certificates.

Before you upload anything, you should know that your documents and information are protected, and how.

Keep your originals in a safe. Keep everything else here.

Your original passport, I-797s and green card belong somewhere safe at home, and a fireproof safe is a great choice. But a safe can't hand you a copy when you're at the airport, starting a new job or on the phone with your attorney. And it can't tell you what matters most right now, which isn't always clear, even when every document is in front of you.

Connect by InHouse Core keeps secure digital copies of your documents, ready whenever you need them. It also reads your dates, so you know which deadline comes first and what needs your attention next.

How we protect your documents

Encrypted, start to finish

Your documents are encrypted when they travel and when they're stored. If anyone on our team opened one, all they'd see is scrambled letters and numbers. We can't read your documents.

Links that expire

Your documents open through short-lived links, so a shared link can't be reused to get to your files.

Two-factor authentication

Turn on two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection on your account.

Limited access

Only authorized people can reach our production systems, and development contractors have no standing access to your documents.

Built on audited platforms

Connect is built on cloud platforms whose services have completed independent SOC 2 audits. We follow GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA privacy standards.

Reviewed before every major release

We run security reviews before major releases and track every finding until it's fixed.

Who can see your information

Your employer

No. Connect is yours, not your employer's. We don't share your information with your employer, and it stays with you when you change jobs.

Advertisers

No. We never sell your personal information, and there are no ad trackers in the Connect app.

The government

We don't volunteer your information to any government agency, and no agency can search our systems. If we ever receive a subpoena or court order, we'll push back as hard as the law allows, provide only what we're legally required to, and tell you about it unless the law prohibits it.

Your family and our partners

Members of your Family plan see what your settings allow. Attorneys and partners in our network only hear from you if you choose to contact them, and you decide what to share.

You're in control

You can see, correct, export or delete your information at any time from inside the app. When you delete a document, it's removed from your account right away. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly how long it takes to clear from our systems.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever learn of a breach that puts your information at risk, we'll tell you.
